Review: Love of Shadows
Review: Love of Shadows |
| Posted: Most aspects of this book was excellent. The characters were well-developed. By page 10, the reader is able to feel an emotional connection to thee characters which I think is very important for any book and writer. It was even refreshing to see commas and punctuation marks in order. However, the one thing I could not get by was the fact that if you haven't read the first book, you're going to feel like you've missed out on A LOT. While I do understand the need of a series, perhaps the author should include an introduction in this book or a recap if you will so readers who stumble on this book before the first one won't be lost. Would I recommend this read? Sure, but they must have read Book One first. Overall assessment: Content: 4/5 Editing: 4/5 Formatting: 4/5 Pacing: 3.5/5 Offensive content?: Adult theme suited for ages 17 and above. Disclosure: I received a review copy of this book from the author through Orangeberry Book Tours. I did not receive any payment in exchange for this review nor was I obliged to write a positive one. |
